Latasha Barnes is the owner and managing attorney of The Barnes Law Office, LLC located in Atlanta, GA. She is currently licensed to practice in the Superior Court of Georgia, The Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of the State of Georgia.

Kimaya B. Kight is a Partner at The Barnes Law Office, where she focuses her practice on personal injury law and advocates for individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. Kimaya earned her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi, where she built the foundation for her passion for advocacy and justice. Beyond her legal practice, Kimaya is a devoted wife and mother of two boys. Alexis C. Wyche is a rising senior at Clark Atlanta University (CAU), in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a political science major with plans on attending law school after graduation.  Alexis is a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences and the National Society of Leadership and Success.  She has been on the Dean’s List since her freshman year.  At Clark, Alexis is the special events vice-chair of Panthers at Work; an organization that focuses on community service and mental health and a member of the National Council of Negro Women of CAU.

Alexis is from Lilburn, Georgia, and a graduate of Parkview High School.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and working on expanding her YouTube channel.

Although not certain on which field of law she will pursue, she finds sports law to be intriguing.

April L. Walton is a Georgia native, born and raised in Ellenwood, Georgia.

April is currently the Legal Intake Specialist at The Barnes Law Office, where she enjoys speaking with clientele and providing guidance for those in need of legal assistance. Before becoming a Legal Intake Specialist, April began her professional career as a Leasing Agent for multimillion dollar properties within the Metro Atlanta Area. April soon realized her passion and fascination for the law. Thus, April stepped out on faith to pursue a new and exciting career within the legal community.

April joined The Barnes Law Office in February, 2022 and has plans to further her education by obtaining a Paralegal Certificate.

In April’s spare time, she enjoys hanging with friends and family, hosting events, and exploring the eclectic food scene of Metro Atlanta.

Teresa Vinson is now a Legal Intake Specialist at The Barnes Law Office, LLC. Previously, she was a Mailroom Scanner at Delta Dental Insurance Company for over 27 years. During her years at Delta Dental, she gained excellent customer service skills that has transferred in her current role as a Legal Intake Specialist.

Teresa is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She has two children and currently resides in Conyers, Georgia. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys spending time her family, traveling, working in her yard and listening to music.

Janae Johnson was born and raised in Chicago, becoming an Atlanta resident late 2012. My legal journey started back in 2014 with civil law cases, from Social Security, Disability, to Workers Compensation and Personal Injury cases, I have dabbed in it all. But now I am working as a Legal Case Manager, with one of the most elite firms here in Georgia.

My dedication and passion for helping people thru tough times fuels me to stay in the legal field for almost 11 years. I aim to provide clients with hope, by doing whatever is in my power to make brighter outcome. My ability to pay great attention to minor details helps me to thoroughly represent our clients. I practice excellent customer service and communication skills. In my opinion every case is important, so I treat it as such. I plan to pursue a Juris Doctor degree in the near future.

In my spare time I love to eat good, hang with family or friends, watch crime shows and travel when I can. Outside of the firm I dedicate my time to Photography, and Event planning. I also run a Non-Profit known as “Bully Proof Limited”, in which I provide mentorship to the youth, aiming to build youth self-esteem and spread Bully-cide awareness. I am all about building up the people and community in various forms.

Mayra Lynch is a Texas native, raised in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mayra is currently a Litigation Paralegal at The Barnes Law Office, where she enjoys speaking with clientele and assisting clients with reaching a sufficient settlement for all bodily injury MVC claims. Before becoming a Legal Assistant, Mayra began her professional career as a Motor Transport Operator for the Army National Guard. Mayra soon realized her passion and fascination for the law. Thus, Mayra stepped out on faith to pursue a career within the legal community with aspirations of eventually gaining a Doctorate of Jurisprudence.

Mayra joined The Barnes Law Office in September, 2022.
