Latasha is a former prosecutor in the Fulton County Solicitor Office and has prosecuted thousands of criminal cases for nearly five years. She is an effective litigator and skilled negotiator who has had over 50 jury and bench trials. She has also conducted many motion hearings and negotiated thousands of criminal cases. In 2016, Latasha was named Top 40 under 40 in Criminal Defense by the National Trial Lawyers. For the last four years Attorney Barnes has also been a Rising Star on the Georgia Super Lawyers listing, a distinction only received by 2.5% of attorneys in Georgia.

Latasha also represents individuals who have been injured due to tractor-trailer accidents and automobile accidents. Kimaya B. Kight is a Mississippi native, born and raised in Bassfield, Mississippi.

Kimaya graduated from The University of Mississippi achieving a Bachelor’s Degree of Science with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. Kimaya went on to study law at Mississippi College School of Law. During her law school tenure, Kimaya externed with the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project, DeKalb County Solicitor-General’s Office, Henry County District Attorney’s Office and The Barnes Law Office. She was also engaged in several organizations, Women’s Student Bar Association; American Bar Association; Phi Alpha Delta and Black Law Student Association. Furthermore, Kimaya successfully completed Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys’ (GABWA) Professional Development Academy.

Since receiving her Doctorate of Jurisprudence, Kimaya has worked with The Barnes Law Office handling Criminal and Personal Injury cases. Kimaya enjoys assisting clients navigation through troubling situations and providing guidance and tranquility that lead to amicable resolutions.

In Kimaya’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel Kight, and fur babies, Bella and Dozier. She also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, shopping and interior decorating.

Alexis C. Wyche is a rising senior at Clark Atlanta University (CAU), in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a political science major with plans on attending law school after graduation.  Alexis is a member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences and the National Society of Leadership and Success.  She has been on the Dean’s List since her freshman year.  At Clark, Alexis is the special events vice-chair of Panthers at Work; an organization that focuses on community service and mental health and a member of the National Council of Negro Women of CAU.

Alexis is from Lilburn, Georgia, and a graduate of Parkview High School.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and working on expanding her YouTube channel.

Although not certain on which field of law she will pursue, she finds sports law to be intriguing.

April L. Walton is a Georgia native, born and raised in Ellenwood, Georgia.

April is currently the Legal Intake Specialist at The Barnes Law Office, where she enjoys speaking with clientele and providing guidance for those in need of legal assistance. Before becoming a Legal Intake Specialist, April began her professional career as a Leasing Agent for multimillion dollar properties within the Metro Atlanta Area. April soon realized her passion and fascination for the law. Thus, April stepped out on faith to pursue a new and exciting career within the legal community.

April joined The Barnes Law Office in February, 2022 and has plans to further her education by obtaining a Paralegal Certificate.

Teresa Vinson is now a Legal Intake Specialist at The Barnes Law Office, LLC. Previously, she was a Mailroom Scanner at Delta Dental Insurance Company for over 27 years. During her years at Delta Dental, she gained excellent customer service skills that has transferred in her current role as a Legal Intake Specialist.

Teresa is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She has two children and currently resides in Conyers, Georgia. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys spending time her family, traveling, working in her yard and listening to music.

Janae Johnson was born and raised in Chicago, becoming an Atlanta resident late 2012. My legal journey started back in 2014 with civil law cases, from Social Security, Disability, to Workers Compensation and Personal Injury cases, I have dabbed in it all. But now I am working as a Legal Case Manager, with one of the most elite firms here in Georgia.

My dedication and passion for helping people thru tough times fuels me to stay in the legal field for almost 11 years. I aim to provide clients with hope, by doing whatever is in my power to make brighter outcome. My ability to pay great attention to minor details helps me to thoroughly represent our clients. I practice excellent customer service and communication skills. In my opinion every case is important, so I treat it as such. I plan to pursue a Juris Doctor degree in the near future.

In my spare time I love to eat good, hang with family or friends, watch crime shows and travel when I can. Outside of the firm I dedicate my time to Photography, and Event planning. I also run a Non-Profit known as “Bully Proof Limited”, in which I provide mentorship to the youth, aiming to build youth self-esteem and spread Bully-cide awareness. Rosa Gray is a Georgia native, raised in College Park, GA

Rosa is currently a case manager at The Barnes Law Office. Rosa graduated from Georgia State University, achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Communications in 2015. Rosa later obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Atlanta Technical College in 2022 for her love in the legal field.

Rosa joined The Barnes Law Office in 2023 and has plans to further her education by obtaining her Doctorate of Jurisprudence.

Rosa enjoys working with people and assisting the clients by helping them navigate through their problems. In Rosa’s spare time, she enjoys attending music festivals, writing, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

Mayra Lynch is a Texas native, raised in Gainesville, Georgia.

Mayra is currently a Litigation Paralegal at The Barnes Law Office, where she enjoys speaking with clientele and assisting clients with reaching a sufficient settlement for all bodily injury MVC claims. Before becoming a Legal Assistant, Mayra began her professional career as a Motor Transport Operator for the Army National Guard. Mayra soon realized her passion and fascination for the law. Thus, Mayra stepped out on faith to pursue a career within the legal community with aspirations of eventually gaining a Doctorate of Jurisprudence.
